The ILSCA is a Centre for Arbitration and Mediation and is first of its kind in India established under the Indian Law Society, Pune which works in confluence with the ILS Law College, an unit of the Indian Law Society. ILS Law College is a renowned law college imparting quality legal education for the previous 100 years.ILSCA is centrally located on the Law College Road and is housed in a separate allotted building. ILSCA intends to facilitate and encourage litigating parties to take recourse to arbitration/mediation as their chosen mode for settlement of disputes. ILSCA ensures effective settlement of disputes by Arbitration/Mediation, which is cost and time effective. ILSCA is an independent, transparent and a professional institution.The ILSCA Institutional Arbitration Rules and Institutional Mediation Rules are user friendly and encourage quick and expeditious disposal of claims referred to the ILSCA. ILSCA (IA) rules has provision for appointment of Emergency Arbitrators and has provision for interim measures. The ILSCA Institutional Rules are based on UNCITRAL laws to suit both domestic and international standard.The ILSCA panel of arbitrators consists of eminent legal personalities including Retired Judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts, Retired District and Sessions Judges, Senior Advocates, Advocates, Engineers, Architects, etc. ILSCA has an efficient secretariat which forms the core of the Centre.Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and modern amenities the ILSCA’s custom-built arbitration hearing rooms, can accommodate 12 persons to 25 people at a time in difference rooms. ILSCA also has a separate Conference room which can accommodate up to 100 people at a time for conducting conferences, seminars, and training workshops.Keeping in sync with its foundation and rich experience in providing quality law education for all- as is portrayed by ILS Law College for almost 100 years, ILSCA also seeks to conduct several training programs and study courses on the various methods of dispute resolution, for the benefit of students and professionals both from law discipline and from other educational and professional backgrounds.
